    Nothing like setting in big city traffic

    22,000 lbs setting on the toll road on I-90 . Traffic stopped now for an hour. I love this 430 pm traffic. still got 300 miles or so more to go, but will just find a comfortable room when I get around the city. I am almost done working around the nation. It is very tireing for me once I get to the next job.

    My brother lived on Lakeshore drive down town. He passed away a few yrs back. As I drive by, I always recall the memories.  How did you handle this traffic?

    Hi Alan,
    I don't know how you do it. All the traveling and hard back breaking work. I hate traffic. Do you have a good radio station or CD changer. Put on some good tunes and just zone out. Just don't go to sleep!! :smilielol: A friend of mine did that while being stopped for a long freight train. He, like you had just put in a 12-14 hour day. He woke up to a tapping on his window. Startled, he looked up to see the state police at his window. He looked around and there wasn't a train or car in sight. The officer said he must have been there sleeping 30 minutes PAST the train gates opening. All the cars were just going around him!! :roflsmiley: The officer wanted to know if he was OK and he told him he was tired and had just put in 14 hours!! The officer told him to be careful and drive safe!! So hope that give ya a little laugh. Dive safe Al and I hope you get a nice meal and have a good rest!!

    I got sat radio, cd player, dvd player, my laptop while on the road with broadband. The traffic was bad, the weather was bad, I have a new helper from peru , so the language barrier is bad. then went 14 hrs today. I'm in a room now. Got 3 hr drive tomorrow, so I will get some sleep, but have to work the weekend.

    Had a china buffet tonight. I wanted veggies bad. My main meal has been lunch. I have been buying ribeyes for lunch and BBQ'ing on my tailgate..Made the whole plant jealous everyday, so I started sharing. Funny how food can make so many friends :roflsmiley:   I must of passed out 20 hats, pens and stickers last week to the guys too. I usually only give out 3 per job.  One day I did 20 lbs of burgers and 30 brats, but the rest of the week was free Ribeyes for everyone. I work hard, but try to put work in the back seat when break time comes. Keeping moral up is important on tough to do jobs. I will be home soon and can relax again after I ship promised parts out. Plus a few members have sent me some things for gifts. I cant wait to see them. I never got anything from anyone untill I came to this site. That's why I try to help out wherever I can :2thumbs:

    Alan, Stay safe and get plenty of rest. you will need your energy to shift those gears when you get home. gotta enjoy every minute of being there. Im shipping your gift from the desert out today. make sure you get home to get it.
