By the way - both of these 'Cuda's are round-tailight cars.  Anyone have any tips on how to make a custom rallye hood for these?  I want to paint one like my current car, and one like my proposed car.

Jeff

Very cool, Jeff!  I love model cars.  I actually have the blue Cuda model.  I got it like 30 years ago, I think I got it because it came with metal axles so it could roll.

I was just in a hobby store last week and there are CURRENTLY '71 Hemi Cuda models with a Rallye/dual scoop hood.  I thought it was kinda weird since pretty much all the Hemi cuda models I've seen had a shaker set up.  You could grab the hood off of that model and make it fit.  I think it was Revell.

Yeah, it's like a disease, I like to get models here and there...although I don't have it as bad as Daytona!  :faint:

Here's some of my stash... you can see that model if you look carefully...  :sly:

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Daytona--- I would like to see pics of your model collection,  both built and unbuilt models. I am quite surprised at the number of members that do build and collect them. I have'nt been building to many this summer with tearing down my cuda and the other chores that need doing but I did a couple for my next diorama.  The 71 cuda raylle hood will swap if you can find it.  I might have to get back to it and get a bunch of half done projects finnished.

Here's the kit I was talking about.  Just swipe the hood and you're in business.  There is also an AAR Cuda kit available now as well.
