Torque Converter Help...
« on: August 17, 2008 - 10:33:18 PM »
I have a 74 Challenger, 360 727.
I'm swaping out the 360 for a 1970 340 steel crank, (internal balanced).
I'm told I have to have my torque converter re-balanced to zero because the 360 was external bal. and the 340 is internal bal. Converter bal to zero? what does that mean?? :clueless:
My converter already has bal. weights on it...

Do I also need to change the flex plate???? Mine is stock plate with no weights.

Thank You
Peter

You just have to remove the weights on either side of the drain plug. You can use the same flexplate
