'67 GTX - Original Engine - 7500
« on: November 28, 2007 - 11:21:22 PM »
Hey, dont really want to get rid of my '67 GTX but I would like something closer to finished. 440/727. It needs a hole in the toe board fixed as of now (two by two inches roughly, not even that but thats what it will be when its cut) and a small hole under the gas pedal. Floors are excellent otherwise. Missing the correct speedometer, tail lights, and gas cap. Needs the wheel lips on the qaurters fixed as well as the rockers right in front of the wheels. Very solid car. From underneath you would have no idea you were looking at a car older than 5 years old, it looks incredible underneath. All chrome in decent shape, will need rechrome but in nice shape. Good bumpers. B5 blue with metallic blue interior. All original drivetrain, runs very strong, drives good. Has a purple shaft cam but other wise the engine is stock looking, all factory parts but it does have a radiator out of a later car. This car makes some really stong power, I can hardly get it moving without lighting the tires up. The engine, I beleive, was rebuilt not long before this car was parked a long time ago. It doesn't seem to have many miles on it at all. Have a perfect GTX tail panel for it with perfect reverse lenses. Just needs the Plymouth paint touched up as well as the red paint a bit to look ready for a concours car. Very clean, no sludge or anything in the engine, the cam shwoed little wear, holds 75 pounds of oil pressure at idle in park, and about 45 pounds in gear warmed up, 55 cold. Haven't checked the compression yet, but as I said this thing runs strong. Heres a sound clip of it from a while back.

Im really looking to trade for or use the money to buy a good driver car with a big block and four speed, particularly maybe a '66 383 4 speed Satellite or Belvedere. Doesnt need to have the original engine or transmission, but must be an original big block car. Would consider other cars but a '66 B body is what im craving. Others that I would like though would be any B body before '72 with a big block and four speed. If its not a big block and/or four speed then it must be in very good shape and include cash or have some other aspect that will equalize the value in my eyes. Will also entertain high performance A bodies.PM me or email at Pistolgrip440-6@sbcglobal.net.

Its my favorite Mopar but im young and want a car that I wont feel bad hopping up. I dont want to take this thing apart and change the intake, manifolds and everything. I figure with a 383 Satellite I wont feel bad mini tubbing it and driving the heck out of it. Let me know what you have.

Ill set the price at about 7500. Make me an offer, im in Dabury CT. Ill entertain anything reasonable.

BTW the car now has a radio as well as all of the stuff to complete the console.

The VIN numbers are on the link now. Here it is again. http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561255424VQZIOT

There is no fender tag. I started out high on price hoping to get someone to talk me down to what I wanted. Had one guY I thought ready to buy it but he changed his mind and found another car. Anyway, the price is 6000, about where I was going to price it originally. Come hear it run in person and you wont be able to say no.
