Instructions
« on: January 30, 2002 - 08:31:45 PM »
Just wondering if a small box of instructions on how to post pix could be set up?

I had to go through a lot of postings and asking others how to do it. That took quite some time!

Now I see new people are asking the same thing, how to post pix.

Thanks Ross.

i replied to a similar question elsewhere in the main forum, but if you click on the help button atop of the forum under my red drop down links, it will take you to a page that has all the info you need on how to use the softwares cool features.

I just can't seem to see it, maybe I'm blind or something.

I found the help, but not about posting pix.

Can't wait for the FAQ though!

I must commend you on the look of the site as it evolves and all the hard work you put into it Ross!

My hat is off to you!!!  8)

well right now there is no easy way to get a pic off your computer to the forum.  you have to have it served on the web somewhere.  once you get it on the web you put the address of the pic inbetween two image tags:

{img]http://www.yoursite.com/yourpic.jpg{/img]

only difference is you replace the { with [
ill be looking into ways of posting pics off your computer soon.

I think my replies to new members have addressed how to do this, using Lah Tera's site to post photos, then copy/paste to here.

That's how I did it, but it is a complete mystery to new members, as well as myself a short time ago.

I just don't think it should be a mystery, but a step by step help guide!

Maybe there are good reasons for not including that type of info. which I do not understand, but, it would be nice to know where to find such help.

I wasted much time trying to find out how to do it.

My reasoning is I want to sell my car, but I don't want to waste time trying to find out how to do something simple and performed by most posters here and at the Charger site like second nature. They may have computer backgrounds, but many of us do not. We can use this kind of step by step help on an easily accessable, easy to see and locate page.

Not a criticism, just a friendly suggestion!

I was able to go to Alaskan Mopars and scan in several photos and post them all in the same evening, with no previous experience. It made my browsing very effective!

Thank you for listening.

first way, at the bottom of your post window is a box with the words "Attach" you hit the browse button and pick out your picture (where you store them on your computer) as long as it's jpg, gif, bmp with 200kb or less size hit ok the post it.

second way
sign up at http://arctic.photoisland.com  or any free picture posting site, upload your pictures......then type in your picture address in this between with no spaces
