70 Challenger R/T Convertible 383 Auto
« on: July 28, 2008 - 09:14:31 PM »
The car in the signature. All numbers matching, fresh paint, supposedly the motor has not been out of the car and has 96,000 orig miles. Was debating putting it in the for sale section, thought I would go this route. No A/C, 8 3/4 3:55 gears, new top, good rubber. I think there has at one time been some rust in the frame rails, but overall a real solid car. Only had since January and I have just not given it enough seat time like I thought I would. When my 7 year old whipped open my mega cab door into the driver door and chipped the paint to bare metal, I just thought maybe someone else can enjoy this thing more than me with 3 kids 7 and under. Let me know what you think.

If you ever want to have a vert in the future you might seriously reconsider selling the one you have. If on the other hand you have had your fill of open air driving then you might be making the right decision. Any comprehensive pics to make a more informed idea on the value?

If it's an original FC7/white car, and it's  a nice car through-out (engine comp, interior, trunk, exterior) it's worth 50K plus easy. Factory big block e-body droptop in a desireable color combo will always commmand good $$.

It is pretty nice throughout. $35K, no way. $50k sounds about right, but won't sell it for that. Thanks for feedback.

Alan:  I'm saddened to see you thinking of selling -- when we first chatted last winter, you were quite excited about your new Vert!    Are you still maintaining your spreadsheet?

I am just "thinking" right now, don't think the market is right. Yea I was uber excited, I really thought I would take it out more but that just isn't the case. I really doubt I will sell it, just throwing it out there before I get serious.

Still have the spreadsheet, man that gets tedious. spel? If anyone would like to see it, pm me and I will send it out. I have pretty much tracked all the challenger and cuda's on Ebay since Jan08.

I don't think you can buy a numbers rt vert in a desirable color combo for $35,000.  If anyone has one for sale, PM first! :ylsuper:

Thanks for the comments everyone. I agree, $35k is pretty low. I was thinking $50, but I would need $65k to sell it. Guess I will be holding for a while.

Thanks again.
