Dash mount bolts help
« on: August 19, 2008 - 07:28:20 AM »
Here I am again, looking for assistance with the way things go back together! Honestly, I thought the car would only be gone for 9-12 months so I didn't do the right job with "bag and tag" and here 32 months later I can't locate the right part. I need to see what the bolts that hold the dash down look like. I'm talking about the ones beside the defroster vent. Thanks for any help you guys can provide...

Thanks Craig, that will certainly help. Since these bolts are easily spotted thru the windshield, I'd like to get a little more detail - anyone willing to post a pic?

they are a fine thread machine screw , about 3/4 " long , the washer floats under the head not part of the head
they require a special U nut with machine threads

Tom, didn't you try to jam your head between the glass and the dash?  Thanks for the shot. Dutch, that is perfect, I've been able to locate the bolts in the bucket thanks to your help!
