Exhaust Suggestions - Your help is requested!

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get ready to change out my entire exhaust system later this fall (including headers) on my 71 Challenger that has a 440 Magnum 4 bbl.  So I need your suggestions on possible combinations of headers and exhaust.  I want it to sound awesome, mean, bad and all the other descriptors people use to describe their cars. 

What factors do I need to consider?
Do I go with an exhaust system that is 2.5" or 3.0"?
I was looking at TTI's website and they have exhaust systems with H pipe and X pipe configurations.  What is the difference?  Which one is better? Sound?
What is the difference between ceramic coated and plain nickel coated headers?
What size of primary and secondary tubes on the header are best?
I have also looked at installing Flowmasters.  Any thoughts on these?
What are your experiences?
What are your experiences with the sound of these?

it depends on the power level & RPM of the engine for header size & exhaust size
a 440 is borderline between 2.5 & 3" , X pipes are more efficient
 Use the Dyno max the system com,s with the sound is great , flowmasters do not sound or flow as good
Ceramic coat is better , it keeps the heat inside & will not discolor like chrome
