uhhhh wheres the wire for # 6?.  :clueless: ....& 8?!?!?!? Dangling off the back side of the engine where I had stopped a month ago

Luckily no fuel dripped in the area while that plug wire was disconnected.

AHHH bb71 you suffer from the same genetic malady as I....the 50/50 syndrome that goes something like this. Given a true 50/50 chance of making a right or wrong decision you will make the wrong choice every time. Example, you come to a T in the road, it's cloudy & you have no idea which direction you are going you will make the wrong turn every time. I discussed this with my son who is gifted in math, he tried to explain that when your in that situation that you will be wrong 100% of the time because you do not know where your going & 50+50=100 or something like that.
My best example of this was when I put my front end back together I was quite certain of the L&R spindles which I promptly installed, torqued to spec & proceeded to install the caliper adapters & then the calipers...something was not right, the calipers would not go on correctly, so I surmised that I had incorrectly chosen the L/R spindles so I set about removing & reinstalling the spindles on the opposite sides torque to spec but still the calipers would not go on Soooooo I go to the book to confirm that the calipers were to be on the front, like I thought originally, rather than the rear that this configuration created.... DAHM I had the spindles correct to begin with...it was the caliper adapters that were on the wrong spindle or explained mathematically  50/50-50/50= 0% chance of getting it right.

If any of you need further clarification of the 50/50 syndrome email my Son the psyc major at

Back when I was in the goverments canoe club (Navy), I was getting ready to go on a deployment. I was just finishing up rebuilding the engine in my 71 challenger and was hell bent on getting it running before we deployed. I got it back together and tried to fire it up. It did nothing but backfire. I checked everything (so I thought). I didn't get it started and had to go out to sea. I thought about what it could possibly be the whole time I was gone. After re-building that engine 1000 time in my head it came to me. I had the firing order reversed on the distributor cap. I had to wait 3 months to prove my guess was right. After I got home I swapped the wires around and it fired right up. :jumping:

While installing the solid brake line from the master cylinder to the rear, Umm, don't let it drag across your battery terminals as you are feeding it back.   :22yikes:   :22yikes:   :22yikes:
