Cuda Louvers
« on: August 22, 2008 - 08:46:53 PM »
I am looking to add rear louvers to the Cuda and was looking to get some opinions on what it takes to install these and if possible can someone post some pictures or email them to me.  Before I start making holes in the car I want to be sure this is going to work well.  There is a place outside of Montreal that produces these.  A complete kit for $1,100.00.  Is this a reasonable price?  Saw them at the New Hamburg MOPARFEST and they looked great.

Appreciate it.

When I installed mine, I installed nut serts into the roof for the hinge screws. I didn't want sheet metal screws holding my original louvers on the car.
I just set mine in place and once positioned, I marked the location of the hinge holes by placing masking tape on the roof and then used a marker to mark the hole locations on the tape. After drilling the holes, I then used a nutsert tool to install the threaded nutserts. After installing the louvers, I then located the lower pins using a similar procedure. Be sure and use sealant at the upper screws and lower pins (hood pins).
