They simply are (IMO) the best carbs you can buy if cost is not an issue. You have to fill out a whole data sheet with your car and engines specs before they make one for you so it's right when you bolt it (or them) on. You can either buy a new one or send yours for modification.
We have a set of thier split Dominators on the ProMod car.

I think you need to make a choice. The truth is, it's up to you and your tuner as to what is perfect for your needs. IMO, any carb will work fine but ALL will need attention of soem sort to reach a quality level of me...lol. The Holleys were designed to run flat out. End of story. They can be modified, tweaked, tuned, trimemd, flowed, and anythign else, and they still are designed for power, not economy. The Carter/Edelbrocks took a factory design carb and made it more performance oriented. They dont need dual accelerator pumps, because the air metering is MUCH better at most lower engine speeds, and the transition setup is WAY more finely controleld than any Holley PV /multiple bleed designs. The Edelbrock is simple, and very effective because it's designed to be simple. The Holley is great at WOT, and they had to hang on fixes to make it streetable. but, there's a lot more "street level" knowledge aboutt eh Holley designs, and they tend to be closer OOTB for dual purpose type pacakges. I like them all except Predators. I'd recommend the Holley Street Avenger 770 VS for your application. The buidlers I know that do back to back dynos on them usually find after they are all optimized that there is less than 5hp seperating most carbs. Just decide and buy it. It's not our car...lol.

Hey i just picked up my motor and need to get a cam and intake... its a 70 440, 10.2:1, ported 906's w/ 2.14's & 1.81's.... i intend on street/strip use....also what you suggest for carbueration

I have an excellent tm7 for sale..... has taken me to 124+ mph... excellent for hood clearance as well... 4.25 tall.. see in parts for sale section  :2thumbs:

Its all a matter of opinion in ONLY Stating the fact depending on your "budget" and "mechanical abilty" an desired "usage" of your car  :2cents:

When you get carb(S) back from ProSystems they give you a tuning chart for weather that falls within a very small jet range. You'll never have to change one of thier carbs 8 jet sizes to get the EGT's right, and they are rarely touched. You can't buy a carb like that off the shelf. In fact, before we split them and sent them out one of them was all wacked out. Patrick asked on the phone if we had trouble tuning it, and we did but never knew what the problem was. It never would have been corrected without wet flow calibration. So much for the quality control on Holley's high end carbs.

And that's correct. You select parts by your tuning knowledge and the depth of your pocketbook. If you're a novice, stick to a hydraulic cam and a carb you don't have to make love to all the time.
