I have to get a longer driveshaft for my Cuda when I put the 5.7 hemi in because the original shaft was shortened 1" when I put the 392 in to make up for the tranny adapter. I have a shaft from a 68 Coronet that I can have shortened to fit, but it has some kind of weight ring that is part of the front u-joint yoke which the Cuda driveshaft doesn't have. Is there any problem with using this shaft in the Cuda, and does anyone know what the purpose of the weight ring is?
