70 Barracuda Turn Signal
« on: September 06, 2008 - 02:53:25 AM »
I feel like a goof asking this but is there a website or PDF file that shows the best way to remove the front parking lights from a 70 Cuda grill?   I need to replace a bulb and don't want to break the lens or crack the grill.   Please don't laugh to hard!

under the hood there are 2 bolts holding the assy into the grille , remove the entire assy & then remove the screws from the lense to get at the bulb

 Just open your hood and unplug the light terminal and remove the two top screws holding the light assembly in place, then simply slide the assembly as a unit forward from the back of the grille and then slide out the rest of the way from in front of the grille.

Once removed you can take what you need to apart :2thumbs:

:iagree: yea what CP said but just 2 seconds too late.

Thanks for the quick reply guys.   The other day I checked my parking lights and they seemed to be ok, but the turn signal did not light up.   The dash light shows fine but just not the front indicator.   I figure it's just a bulb but might be something else too.   Just have to proceed one step at a time.   I'm not one to rip apart something without a plan of attack.   Thanks again for your help.

make sure the black ground wire is connected to the tab on the back of the housing without it it will not work properly
