    need help guys

    ok i bought some summit poly pro seats for my chally and the universal brackets. i want to know is it safe to bolt ur seats to the floor of the car. cuz these dont match up to the factory hole where its the strongest. its way off. so i bolted my passenger seat to the floor. how safe? how dangerous.

    I used the factory tracks & made an adaper plate to mount the seat to the tracks to allow adjustment

    I see CP is alittle faster than me . . . . You really need to add some support to the floor where the new seat bolts in.  When we installed the new floor pans, we added metal squares to the seat holes for support.  Not very hard to do.

    or use the large extra heavy shock washers they wont pull thru and increase the surface area where it bolts to the floor pan by about 400% ---rather than weld patched to the floor -- Ive used them for years with out a problem and been in some pretty bad wrecks and the seats never came undone

     When I installed those seats in my Duster with the narrower aftermarket brackets, I used thick washers, after many uses by me(215Lbs give or take a wrench) my floor started cracking all around the washers.
    Finally I installed the stock brackets and then just made a couple of cross brackets and it's worked fine ever since.
     If you decide to use washers instead just make sure they're REALLY big.
