My 6.1 hemi came with a 203 degree thermostat should I change it to a 180 or 190?
203 seams kind hot I know the factory need them that hot for emissions but do I?

Personally, I wouldn't change it. Why mess with a good thing? You won't really get anything out of it without at least modifying the PCM programming. It will eventually get that warm, anyway. The higher opening point just ensures that you get there more quickly.

:iagree: I would like to think that they went with 203 for a reason, and it might throw off a bunch of the other sensors if you change it, plus could void any warranty if push came to shove.

I'll ask my buddy with the Srt-8 300 what he uses, He runs 12.6's at 112 in the quarter and commutes with it too.

Oops.  Thought you meant you had it in a new car.  If it's programmable then never mind what I said.

I'd keep at least a 195 in there. The newer fuel injection systems are much more efficient in a warmer engine. 180 is too cold.
