Wheel help!!
« on: August 16, 2008 - 08:42:59 AM »
I hate buying wheels for cars!! Anyways I am wanting to put 17's or 18's under my Cuda. It has ben mini tubbed and springs moved in. My 15 inch rims are 10 inch wide and have 5 inches of back spacing. All of the newer rims (bulliet style) have too much b/s. From the axle flange to the inner frame rail is 8 inches and from the axle to the 1/4 lip is 7 inches.  Up front is another story but I think I have that ironed out. If you have any info., pics, or anything at all it would help. I am looking for a rim something along the pic below.

Yep, i'm running those American Racing wheels. Nowhere near a minitubbed car though, fully stock suspension more or less.

Very, just a word of advice. The 17 and 18 rims have different size hubs. 18s wont fit on the front hub without modifications, the 17s will. I didnt know that going in, just dumb luck i bought 18rears and 17 fronts

I bought the rims after seeing them on Goody's car.  I'm very happy with them.  I had to grind the hubs on the 18's to fit.  They are designed for Ford hubs which are slightly smaller.
