Just got back a few hours ago. Had a wonderful time. Things changed somewhat on what we did but we still had a blast. We did the mountain bike ride. 28 miles from the top of the 10k ft. Haleakala volcano to the ocean below. If was super and thanks to Topcat for suggesting it  :2thumbs: Snorkel boat tour to a reef on another island and it was again spectacular. I bought an underwater camera and took several photos but that day it was pretty windy and the surf visibility was down to about 60-70 feet. On a good day in the right places you can see 150-180 feet. We didnt get to do the ziplines because they were overbooked but we did learn to surf. It felt so cool to ride a wave. They were not big and we were on longboards but I could really learn to love surfing. We hung out on the beach at Wailea for several days here and there, the beach there was spectacular. We did a dinner cruise which was fun too. Give me some time and I will get the camera film developed and load the digipics and post some. It is nice to get home though. I know I will get the  :useless: but just be patient with me as I am horrible at resizing pics. I will get some up asap. I will even post some of me surfing, looks like a whale on a longboard lol.

Glad to hear you went on the mountain bike ride.  :2thumbs:
If you're at Kona the snorkeling there is really good. Kona and Maui were my favorite places to visit. But really all the places are great.

We were in Maui. Kona is cool too but I like Kauai though. I think is it because that is where we went the first time. Who am I kidding? any of the 3 places is better than here lol.

I resized a few pics of my wife and I learning to surf. It was probably about the funnest time I had there to tell the truth. Was really cool to feel the wave take the board foward. Was definitely an adrenaline rush even though the waves were pretty small. I could not imagine surfing big waves, they would definitely wreck you pretty bad on the reef  :eek4:

Kim did really well and rode many more waves than I did but at least I can say I rode my first one

Nah there were a bunch of newbies like us. I have a picture of getting dumped by an 8 year old girl when her board hit mine lol. My wife even took me out on one wave hehe.
