Well it appears to be a real SE car because I doubt someone went through the trouble of cloning the SE option. However, the R/T part is a toss up.....it does have an R/T hood and badges on it, but that could have been added when the car underwent that crazy paint job. It also appears that some sort of spoiler was added to it (like a T/A). Honestly, unless it is dirt cheap or a hemi/6-pak car I wouldnt bother with it. It looks like every panel on that car will need to be replaced, including the roof. For how much it will take to fix the car, you can buy a finished 383 or 440 R/T SE. I know it sounds negative.....I'm just saying it looks like too big of a project unless it is a super-rare or super-cheap car.

Whats "Cheap" though (in the uk).

Forgot the whole 'in another country' part. It might be worth it then because of the headaches associated with getting a car shipped, but I dont know what Challengers go for in the UK so I cant really comment on it. I will say that I see several thousands worth of replacement sheet metal needed. Just off looking at the exterior of the car, Im thinking that all the floors will need replacement and possible repair work on the frame rails. Factor that in with the new quarters, fenders, hood, decklid, roof, and wheel housings that need replacing (from looking at the picture) and you can have a money pit on your hands. If you are up for a challenge and have 500 hours worth of spare time....then go for it. But if you are look at it in hopes of saving cash versus a finished car, then unless it is a 6-pak or Hemi car, you will probably end up spending more money....and most definitely more time. Nonetheless, Good luck with your adeventure

I`m surprised that it`s still pretty much in one piece after 20 years sitting in UK weather.  A find like that in this part of the world is always exiting, but you might want to try pulling it onto a trailer before paying  :faint:  it`s not exactly the so-cal desert its in...
when will you go there?

I would say no. Dual exhaust was part of the RT package but the tips were not a part of the package. Some states would not allow the tips. I have a RT here that came without tips. My SE is a 383 car. It was a 383 2 bbl single exhaust. I have a N code 383 plain non-RT Challenger. It was duals without tips. I do not think that the SE package on the RT would cause the tips to be there. If someone has the order sheets for the 70 Challenger they can find out for sure.

If your car was a car made to stay in Ca, then it most likely would of had turn downs on it. Not all cars built in Ca were made for Ca.
