if the timing marks are at 12 & 6 you are TDC firing for #6 cylinder , personally I would rotate it around to 20* BTDC firing #1 cylinder drop in the dist pointing to #1 wire with the reluctor in line with the pick up coil in the dist & fire it

I got a good book for you to borrow if you are in the neighborhood. I got it at Barnes and Noble, excellent reference for the rest of us that aren't perfect.
