Correct color of hood Latch Lever?
« on: October 20, 2008 - 08:06:09 PM »
What is the correct color of the hood latch lever on a black '72 Challenger?  I see a lot of them are painted silver but I am not sure if this is correct.  I have a pic of a '70 and it looks like it is an olive drab green color.

Also what are the correct color for the actual latch and the spring next to the latch?

Thanks guys, this site is AWESOME!

Jeff

I think it was phosphate black.

I remember it as phosphate gray, but don't have any E-bodies to look at, so it's just my fuzzy memory. The spring and latch plate were body color, and the hood was often dropped on it while the paint was still wet.
