I have a friend that has a dana 60 rear end, but its out of a truck. I know I can have it cut down to fit my Chally, but do you think it would be worth it?

If you can get it cheap. You also have to change the spring perch so keep that in mind as well.

The truck rears don't have pinion snubber mounts either and they weigh a ton. Think I'd stick with an 8 3/4 unless you plan on having 700+ hp. They are much easier to swap gears in and are plenty strong.

He wants $300 for it, I was even thinking of buying it and selling it on ebay to make some extra money. Don't know if its worth the effort tho.

I don't think its worth it. You can get them out of pick-n-pull for way less then that.

They aren't exactly rare. They came in many trucks and vans.

I generally get them for under $100 & by the time they are modified & in they cost around $1200 which is still cheaper then a new Moser or Strange
your call , definatly worth it if you want a Dana

My truck dana cost me 971 bucks to have built for my car. I just had one done for member Stroker for 325 that was narrowed, moser ends, and perches. It is ready to send to him to install his axles and gears now. I gave him the rearend
