what are the advantages of gear drive? and are these any good? and when i get my engle cam will it be a 3 bolt?

I personally don't think they are necessary for most applications. If you do decide to go with one, do yourself a favor and get the quiet version. Even the quiet gear drives can be a bit noisy. The noisy ones are really quite annoying.

with high valve spring loads the gear drive will not stretch like a chain & will keep the cam in position more accuratly but for 90% of street engines they are not needed
