Fuel pick up tube ????

What does the tube with the red zip tie do besides act as a red zp tie holder.
on the other side is a vent tube that runs up into the trunk and back down to the pass. side frame rail so I know it isn't a simple vent tube is it?
My assumption is that the tank which is for a 70 has the vent tube on the pass side. I have a pick up for ensuing year models which has it on the pickup.??
I'm lost

It's a vent return line tube. Your can block it off or use it for a fuel return line

Being it looks like an aftermarket unit, it should be a return line actually. So you can plug it, if you don't run one.

the Hemi & 440+6 used a vapor canister just after the fuel pump with a 1/4" return line back to the tank that connected on that nipple

Thanks alot fellas. It is a 1/2" pick up so I guess the 440+6 and Hemi's had the 1/2" units ifthey have the return lines.

Original 440-6 and Hemi fuel lines were 3/8" with the 1/4" return. If you have 1/2" supply lines then your return might be 3/8"
