are you using a vented gas cap or no ? my tank sounds like its boiling after driving for awhile and my cap is a non vented
??

Yes, mine is vented. Sometimes the vent tube on the gas tank filler neck gets clogged/rusted, so you need some sort of venting.

What type of tank? ecs or non ecs? My 70 is an ecs cal. emmission type and requires a non vented cap. It has a system of hoses it has to go through and also to the valve cover breather cap and carb.
