Front Bearing Retainer

4spd info,
Can I bolt up a 4.807 bearing retainer to a 4spd that has a 4.354?
Reason being I'm probably going to put a Lakewood scatter shield in the Cuda.
The front hole is 4.807 on the shield..

no , the bolt pattern is differnet between the two , I have seen some spacer rings made to increase the diameter of the small 4.35 retainer though

Lakewood has them. Theyy usually come with the lakewood bell housing when you buy their kit. I have one on my 4 speed trans to fit my bb bellhousing

I called Mcleod this afternoon and they said they only make them for Chevy's & Ford's sizes..4.850 & 4.680..
I'll call Lakewood tomorrow when they open...
