    How to Source a good used Mill

    Hi guys,
    For those of you with LOTS of expereince, would you mind listing a few items to look for when sourcing a used  (junkyard) mill? I want a 360 or 383 to swap inot my numbers 318 car, just for fun. I'm keeping the 318, but thought it'd be nice to have the option. (and yes, I've already maxed the 318 to about 400HP...). Thanks!!!

    2 things , if the engine is relatively clean it was manitained , if the vehicle is hit hard it had to be running at the time of the accident not towed in dead after sitting for years

    Not sure what you mean-what "items" are you looking for?360 engines are fairly easy to find but a good 383 might be tougher unless your local yard has a bunch of older cars.The 360 would be the better choice IMO as it will bolt right in and you can stroke it to over 400.

    My question is are you looking for a "builder"  or something you can throw in and build up over time.  :dunno:
