" Drilled " Crank?
« on: October 04, 2008 - 01:54:15 PM »
I have a '72 model 440 built in '71 I'm going to rebuild for a 4spd car but it came out of an auto, it's a steel crank not cast. the hole in the crank mesures 1.75" deep behind the larger torque converter hole, would this be considered a drilled crank for a 4 speed or it will I need to work it over to take the 833?

That will work , I have never seen a steel crank that needed extra clearance
