« on: September 12, 2008 - 11:02:54 AM »
All of the wheel studs where clockwise thread but ONE not. unfortunately guys in my garage applied force and ... broken it. So I need 1 wheel stud (and nut to have a pair) to replace. It's rear left wheel. Can anybody help?
Will pay shipping to Poland and cost of course by paypal.

Probably (95%) I will have a trunk floor sheet shipped on monday and asked Kavin (jacksautoparts) to throw in 1 spare stud+nut. So if the dont have one (I'm waiting for a confirmation) I'll sk you to do me a favor and buy+ship 1 stud+nut, left rear wheel challenger rt (1/2-20). I have to chceck if the others are LH or RH cause I cant believe my mechanics that only ONE was LH. I read that the fron studs are all RH, rear right is RH but only rearl left wheel was LH thread so that the wheel dont get off during ride.

On any 1970 car, all the driver's side studs / nuts are LH thread.

They can be changed to RH though.........

@Moparal
Your inbox is full so I write here. Thanks for trying to find the LH stud. If you still have a RH stud+nut I want one ;) I will just have 4 LH and 1 RH in the wheel ;)

Please change them all to the same thread, either left or right hand thread.  Or else you'll be back looking for (1)  again in a few months.    Why are you letting anyone work on your car anyway?

I found this out the hard way after a lot of hammering a cold chisel on my second parts car  :swear:

I got plenty of rh lugs and studs, but no lefts. I got a complete axle with all lfts, but its a long way to shift. I got rt at hnd thread axles too. I have 1 rh stud and lug on the bench in the shop now and my wife would ship it when you make up what you want. I am traveling right now

@shelbydog
I left the car cause starter needed to be rebuild. Meanwhile I asked the shop to check brake shoes. Unfortunately I did not warned them about LH tread...
I keep my chally in a garage where I have no way to lift it properly :|
It's true that I should change all of them (5) to RH.
@moparal - if you have 5 studs+nuts PM me the amount I should pay you and I'll transfer funds and my addres by paypal.

Thanks for help guys. I know htat one stud is not a problem in US but believe me, in EU it is...
