Very nice, couple of questions.

1) What happens when you have a hole through a flange (no bottom), like the transmission, won't the helicoil keep turning?
2) Won't the helicoil back out when you remove the bolt next time?

One answer to both questions....thread locker.  It stays put

You could also stake the ends of the helicoil with a center punch. That keeps them from rotating out
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

Until your tranny goes and needs to be replaced, I used studs before in the weak holes. Thread Lock them in and leave them in.
