4 speed

just wondering if anybody has a big block 4 speed trans

ihave a granny and big block bell but it needs a different retainer.

  They are all the same basically, only the 426 & 440's had an 18 spline instead of the 23 spline, this was used even on the /6. The rear extension housing is the main difference, the E body must have 2 pads on this housing, the rear one is for the  E body. Check www.slantsix.org , it has plenty of info, enough for you to be informed.   :2thumbs:

 :bigsmile:  hi i have one from cuda 71 383  with larger bearing size in front for perfect fit to your bellhousing  and it is a 23 splines tranny if you still need it let me know  www.71sg.com

it is a 68 440ci...so that takes the 18 spline?
