No, not that one...    It is the one that goes on top of the boot and has the letter "H" cut out...  The one that is currenty on the car has a little surface rust on it....  i was planning on sanding the rust off and touching it up with a little paint, but I wanted to be as close as possible....

thanks again..........

Here's a pic from a few month's ago...  I put a yellow circle on the piece in question.... (Cell phone camera)..

That would be a Hurst aftermarket boot, not a factory part.

Was there anything on top of a stock boot? Did Hurst make the pistol grip for Mopar?
I had this car since 82 and I honestly thought that the boot was stock for all this time...  You learn something new everyday...................

The stock boot was just black rubber with the trim ring FM3 posted. There was a stamped metal ring that screwed to the floor with 4 bent over tabs that the trim ring bolted to, the trim ring didn't bolt directly to the floor. Yes, Hurst made the pistol grip shifter for Mopar.

thanks for the info....      I'm probably going to keep it anyway since the boot is good shape...  and just paint the "H"...
