I thought I would let you know how the car did on the dyno.
First of all I wasn't expecting much: 73 block, stock 73 heads (1.88's), 70 replacement pistons, Air gap intake, 650 proform carb (mech secondaries), and crappy headers.
I have a Mopar purple cam 284/484 that was creating virtually no vacuum at idle and the overlap was killing the torque.
Something he told me I didn't know and maybe someone can confirm is that the 727 eats up a lot of horsepower compared to other trannies. He said in the neibourhood of 25%.
Anyway this combo was good for 252HP and 288TQ at the rear wheels. I thought anything over 200 would be a bonus. Factor in the power loss and thats 315HP at the crank if you use 25%. Figuring a stock 72 340 was rated @240HP it could have been worse.

I forgot to mention they only ran it up to about 5000 RPM so it may have been good for some more. It was a couple tune runs.
