Front valance color
« on: November 10, 2008 - 05:58:48 PM »
I know this was posted a little while back, but I didn't get many results, mainly b/c the thread turned into a cooling issue with my car vs. the color of the valance.....SO, with that in mind, does anyone know the correct color of the front valance for a 73 'Cuda, where the turn signals sit.....MoparAl said he thought it was Argent Silver, but someone else said it wasn't.  :dunno:

Here's the pic of the one I got:

If we never drown we'll never know how well it tastes....So tell me how it tastes and I'll know just how well you drowned.

In the pictures I emailed you the lighter color grey is the correct color. These where not painted and they did not have the argent texture . They were simple mounted in the color they were molded on every car I have ever seen .

 Good luck

gross dull gray? It's a color that matches new bumper fillers, I would re-paint it the same as the grill. Graphite? but minus the textured specks.

I had a 71 Cuda that was a similar blue color and I sprayed both the grille and the valance with Duplicolor metalflake silver I bought at the local parts store and they looked fantastic. I think the Cudas in particular had some great grilles that really made them unique and different than the other cars of the era, so I would always look to make them stand out, but to each their own. To me light gray is a great color for filing cabinets, storage sheds and military vehicles.  :dunno:
Once we had Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope & Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama, No Hope and No Cash!
