71 rt grill paint
« on: October 20, 2008 - 12:31:21 PM »
Who makes the closest match to original, the black and the silver for the 71 rt grill?  Does anybody have any good pics on how the grill is painted?

72hemi is dead on about Totally Auto.

The correct black grill used on the RT was not painted, it was molded in black so if you want a black grill and your only choice is to paint it then you need a good simi flat black off the shelf because there is no "correct" black paint.

Man I used to lust over Totally Autos 71 Plum Challenger vert back in the day when they were restoring it. Was just about the perfect small block car imo. I have wanted to try their paints and maybe when my car comes back from paint I will give the grille paint a try. The grille paint is the same as the tailpanel paint right? they look the same anyway.

Yes.  :grinyes:

There is two versions of argent silver that Totally Auto sells. This would be the dark version.
