As I recall, the outside lights have dual filaments, allowing that light to stay illuminated all of the time. On low beam the low beam filament is lit, and on high beam, the high beam filament in the outside light is lit as well. This would require a three connection connector on the outside light. If this connector were to be simply connected to the single light, everything should be fine. The four headlight system simply added another high beam inside the low beam, and was illuminated by the same circuit as the high beam filament on the two lamp system.

The lights work for the first time in 30 years .I got side tracked but got them working yesterday . :clapping: The reverse light is next . All the other lights are working .I have not tried too hard on that yet . The switch is new so I'll have to check where ever the power is coming from .

Which switch is new?  It goes through the neutral safety switch IIRC.

Yep, power runs through the neutral safety switch, then to the reverse lights.

The car is a 4 speed . If I'm not mistaken , no neutral safety switch . Just the reverse light switch . Has 1 wire in and 1 out .
