Computer problems
« on: October 24, 2008 - 11:10:32 PM »
Need some help!
I am having problems uploading pictures to ebay. Every time I hit to upload my pictures, my computer shuts down the web page. It comes up as internet explorer is restarting, and brings yahoo back up. I am just wondering if one of my settings is not right. Any help is appreciated....Chris

Could be, it has done this for a long time now. If I have two pages open, and one minimized it will do the same thing if I close one of the pages.

Every time I've had Yahoo on my computer, like their toolbar, my PC has had problems.  :grinyes:

As others have mentioned it's more than a simple browsing error. Back up your files, clean your system out and make sure you have all the latest updates from Microsoft (XP/Vista) there are always lots of security updates etc, stay up to date to help things out in future.

I had the same problem staring last week, I believe the ultimate problem was malware removed by SuperAntiSpyware but was having problems with it and AVG running. So I ran
http://www.ccleaner.com/    1st  Fixes a lot of registry issues
http://www.superantispyware.com/superantispywarefreevspro.html  2nd, found several malware Also has a link to see what's running in the background on your computer.
http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe   3rd but had no virus
then to get things moving along the trial version of
http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/
Has an easy way of cleaning up things esp. start-up programs that eat up memory
