Correct jack color for 70 Chally
« on: February 02, 2008 - 09:34:05 AM »
I have seen both black and gray jack components used on 70 e-bodies. Mine's gray. Anyone know the correct "shade" of gray? The shaft is some kind of silvery color, but I've also seen them in what appears to be a cad plate-looking color. Not a big deal, but I'm close to the end and might as well not cut corners now. Thanks.

Krylon Dove Grey is a very close match for the hook, mechanism and base.

Kyrlon Aluminum is a very close mach for the shaft.

All of the 1970 t-bar style jacks I have seen so far with black bits are from A-bodies from the Windsor plant. They may have had a different supplier?

The cad shafts are the hollow tube style jack.
