Hi there,

I have a buddy who has an almost done restoration on a GTX, but I can't remember what year or I'm pretty sure it is a 69, 70 or 71.  Let me know if you have any flexibility in the year (1971 only or) and if you are wanting to step up to a completed car and I'll then follow up with him.

Thanks, Charlie

As a 71 GTX 4sp owner these do not come easy and cheaply as you have found out. I was one of the lucky ones that got one and I have my eye looking for others because of the rarity in them. I am unsure if you saw the one for sale a few months back in SC or NC, it was not too bad, it needed alot of work, had a NOM and was sold really quick. I do know of a FE5 4sp 440 car here in southern AZ, I have been told it is just sitting in a carport and the owner refuses to even talk to anyone about the car. It is in the desert area so it is not visable from the roads. As I said I have not seen it or made any attemps to find it but you like I can ask the guy that told me about it when I see him at Spring Fling!!!

Welcome to here. You must have had a bad encounter over at Moparts or something. One thing about this site is people will hardly ever get rude comments here. You just blanketing the www with want ads? If not kick your feet up, stay a while and tell us about yourself. Good luck on your search. 71 B-bodies are one of my favorites.

There's a brown 71 gtx with 42k original miles on it setting on a dirt dead end road not far from me. I have had my eyes on it for 3 yrs. Guy at first wanted 8500 for it. He towed it from Ca to here and has not driven it. It's an automatic tho. Has the 6 1/2 inch ralley wheels and bullet tips still on it. No frills standard disc brake, standard steering, tach and console. A real hot rod. And still an untoched car needing restoring all numbers match :2thumbs:  Maybe one day it will be mine. The guy is in his 70's

Standard DIsc Brakes - check the axle code and vin for the engine code most of the B41 "Disc Brakes" came on Axle package cars, 440, 6 pack, Hemi and all 4 speed GTX's, remember I said most and not all because there have been plain auto 440 X's that were ordered that way. Al mine is less equipped then that one, no console or tach, one mirror, am radio and a 4sp with Dana..... Now that was ordered for only one thing in mind and that is what the owner said to me  :burnout:
