Plastic door seal source
« on: November 08, 2008 - 02:35:42 PM »
Has anyone seen reproduction plastic sheeting for behind the door panels for a '70 Cuda? I remember some customizing on the factory sheeting to make space for parts of the door (and maybe some reinforcement) so just plain sheeting probably won't work. Thanks!

Reading your post sounds like you don't care if it's original, if not I made mine from the light weight thin blue foam I used to lay under the hardwood in my house and used some 2 sided bichumen or however you spell it to hold it in place. I'm sure you could just use 6mil plastic if u wanted that's about the same density as the original.  Pete

Pete, it would be nice to have original style but I may do what you did if they are not available or really expensive

If it is what I remember I would think any thick plastic sheet would do the trick.
