    My battery is fine, but is small (size wise) it cranks fine and never had a problem with it. I think its an Everstart Walmart special.

    Anyway, I was toying with the idea of getting a new battery and using one of those Old School covers with the caps......

    I just thought Id see what my options are....  :bigsmile:

    I used one of those Neverstart batteries for years without trouble. Then I put in an Optima in for the cool factor.

    In answer to your question, there is a company making a maintenance free battery that looks old school with the caps on top. I'm sorry I don't know who it is...But they don't come cheap.   :grinno:

    the factory used a Group 27 for big blocks & a group 24 for small blocks
