Carl,  I agree that for the most part these subjects go along without problems.  BUT, there are many folks here that aren't as thick skinned as others.  Plain and simply, they get their feelings hurt.  This site is not the place folks want to come to get their feelings hurt.  While it may seem like trigger happy moderation, it is not.  I get many, many PM's/e-mails about this stuff, folks want it stopped.  I already have several about THIS thread.  We have 6000 members here from all over the world.  There are some folks that want an unmoderated forum to argue over this and that.  But the other 98% want this stuff stopped altogether.  We try an allow some of it, but we have to be careful and act BEFORE things get said that hurt others.  If you are not one that gets hurt by this stuff, then I guess it seems like trigger happy mods.  We are just trying to keep it reasonable and make this the most enjoyable place on the net.  We are all friends here and I hope everyone understands that we do what we do in the best interest of the site and its awesome members.  I am done defending the actions of the mods, as I think our position has been made clear in the last few days.     :2thumbs:

 Ahhh, gosh. All good. Every board has a few sissies who whinge about the lamest stuff, some people should try living without arms, legs or be blind and deaf, then they can have something to whinge and complain about, this stuff is so small on the scale of life I'm actually surprised it's lasted this long, fair enough. All I ask is that you guys try to let things go as long humanly possible without cutting things short because someone had a booboo. ;)

I've said my piece and will let you guys do what you do.............Cheers!  :drunk:

Hey Carlwalski,

You might just try to pm Ross about all this and see if he will open a different place to discuss politics, religion and race issues. He would be the one what goes and stays. I don't believe it will get but a hand full of members in there, but this will give you your own little government issue section to poor your beliefs and wisdom into.

I don't disagree with freedom of speech, but this is the only site I find that doesn't have some type of government gripes/debates on it except for here lately.

You can even go into the chat room and have an open discussion easy enough.  I believe I understand where your coming from, and realize the post doesn't need to be opened if we don't want, but yer own section is better then 5 topics on government in this section.

Try talking to Ross, none of us count as far as getting the request done you are striving for.   I don't feel we are a debate club here for heated topics and discussions.  We don't even get heated up on car issues here.

This is a private car membership club. Rules set by the owners and Mods. We just abide by what the rules are.   If you notice, we didn't get our flags either :dunno:  Just the way it is.

This posting wasn't intended to make you or anyone angry, or upset. Sorry if it looks that way. But to PM ROSS is the best way to get these polital post questions answered.

Hi Moparal,

I see your point but first of all, I've never, not once in all of my posts started a political thread, had to make that point clear. Poor my words of wisdom and beliefs is a little over the top as well. I see a post, and respond with my own opinion, just like the post I'm responding too, nothing more, nothing less. Yes, I did notice the flags thread and posted twice to help with technical info, all I got was the thread locked and a remark to which I had no comeback to, being locked and-all and not one thanks for trying to help. I've done my part for this board, shrinking avatars, helping with posting photos, screen captures and general info on the forum itself (owning one I know more than the average user) and this is over a long time period. Sometimes I wonder why I bother at all to help. Seeing how well my efforts went trying to help the flag situation I won't be PMing Ross. The mods here do a good job, no denying that, I guess I just wish (like others, more than the claimed 2%) that ties would be loosened, slightly.

Yeah, on the main page, scroll down to the bottom and it says chat now. Clear out the guest and put your member name in then log on as a member. Some drift in and out from around 630 central till 10 eastern at times.  I dont think you can use numbers if your member name has numbers in it. But you can spell them, or just abreviate your name long as the password is correct.

If you go to the off topic area, just look for chatroom post by Stroker. He left a link on the last page also

Hey guys Im not going to lie, I do not think that political thread help the board.  I think they divide the board for an unnessary reason.  Im not a rule make here by no means (mostly a rule breaker) but there are just too many interperations to what people say on the net and political subjs are just too taboo, I for one do not comment on political threads other than the occasional "hey lets not talk politics please" LOL!!!  I just feel very strongly that it divides us as a family.  Sorry for the rant I will get off my soap box now.
