In response to this thread

That Barry then directed us to this thread...

If it is any comfort this forum is not being singled out...few other car forums I'm on are battling the same demons

One big thing many of the forums of any type are doing is not allowing GMail accounts as members email...a big percentage of spam comes thru GMail

Our Daytona board was getting spammed so bad...we installed a security question when you sign in...this really eliminates the bots...it can be something as simple as Cuda is what brand of car?

I also installed a blocking code on the forum I work at which blocks porn address sites etc etc...only thing is they are quick to make new addresses you have to update it on a daily basis

I say yes. If people are of our "like mind" they will wait out the approval period. I think this site is getting big enough that we need to do something to keep the family atmosphere intact. In my opinion there is too much at stake. Great idea Barry. There has only been one other site that is like this one but on a smaller scale and that is Moparnuts. Other than that I have never been on a site that takes care of its own the way this one does.    :2thumbs:

:iagree:  With sadness I agree, we here at CC.com are a good family and we have allowed a freedom that mature people use wisely. Unfortunately there are always those who must cause problems, they might be in the minority but they cause a majority upset.   :villagers:
