Are these dash pads worth getting?

This is a link to an ebay auction. The auction shows a dash pad. I have a pretty cracked green dash pad, but I was not sure if this is only a cover or what. If any one know anything about it let me know. Also any tips for getting it done. I was told you have to pull the front windshield to do it. Any truth? I am getting the top redone and the front window will be out at that time. So getting it swaped then might be the best idea. Please let me know!

Not sure about the pad listed, seems more like a cap. You can change the pad with the windshield in but it is MUCH easier to do it with the windshield out. You might want to contact AZ NICk about a pad. He is a member here and sells the pads from ultimate rides.
Good luck

That's a dash cap. Not a bargain either.   :grinno:

Send it to Just Dashes to be re-finished.  You know it'll fit right, because it's yours.

Do they offer the correct green and grain? I am up for that if I can get it right!

its all about u man .... you can get it to cover your current one while you find a good deal on an original ... or if you like me you might consider having it as a permenent dash since my 71 chally is a driver .... but 158 plus shipping is a rip off ... u can find those for 100 bucks

The problem with the caps in regards to the 70 model year e bodies is no one makes one that includes the Barracuda or Challenger script.

The dashcap that was in my car had the Challenger script on it. No telling how old it was though. I'm sure it was put on in the 1990's, if not earlier.
