Well since I'm off for a few days it's time to take out the old 340.
The Cuda runs fine, uses no oil just down on power, so I leaked the engine last night and it's bad , 28%-36%.
Now I know why I'm down about 6 to 7 mph.. I know the heads are junk (because they are) which I have another set of virgin 587's. I'll have them done and throw out the one's that are on the engine now.
I'm not going to do anything crazy on this engine because it is the matching number one for the car.
Now my 408" is going to have to wait a while longer..
So out comes the engine tomorrow and off to the machine shop after I check a few things...
Just hoping it doesn't need pistons, maybe I'll get lucky and just a hone and new rings..
