i need some help deciding on rally wheels

for my 70 GC I  have 14" rallys, I was planning on having 2 extra wheels welded together to make a 9-10" wide rear rally's and maybe not, im just throwing that idea around. I already have all the new BFG ta's stored for the rims. I have the opportunity to buy a set of 15" rally's with 71 centers(no trims rings) with bfg ta's 225-70-15 fronts and 255-70-15 rears already mounted and balanced new tires, all for 575. My delima is i already have all the stuff for my 14's. Is it worth spending 575 and trying to sell the new tires i already bought to get the 15's???
Its close to Christmas and i dont want to throw money away in this crap economy.

that's a tough call. The reason I say that is because for me I prefer a 235 60R 15 on the front compared to the 225 70R 15. overall though I prefer the 15 inch wheel over the 14 inch wheel. What size tires do you have for the 14's?

I cant remember, they are up on racks in my shop but i know i got probably 225's or 205's for the front and the widest i could get for the rear, I think they are 9.5 wide or close to that.

the other reason i was staying with 14"s is where i live in the mountains, all the roads are very windey and i didnt want to raise the car and throw off the cornering abilily.
