What is the best way to preserve a broadcast sheet?
« on: November 25, 2008 - 08:01:05 PM »
With help from Barrty is was able to find a broadcast sheet for my car yesterday,  Thanks Barry!  Now im wondering what is the best way to store it.  Should I laminate it?  Any advise would be helpful.

Personally, I use acid free page protectors.

Laminating can bond the plastic right to the paper. I use it only on broadcast sheets in really poor condition, the ones that need some "backbone" to hold them together.

Yours is in great shape, so no need for laminating.

You can press it flat in a large book.

Just do not forget what book, I have heard from a few folks that did this years ago  & can not find the book now.......

Lots of plastics contain small amounts of acid, storing paper is always best if done in something labeled "acid free".

Comic book stores will have acid free backing and sleeves that should fit a broadcast sheet.
