Just pulled the tranny on my Satellite for a rebuild and clutch. Flywheel has numerous stress cracks. Will they disappear after resurfacing? They are just surface cracks, aren't they?

if it was me...i would get a new flywheel...even if they are surface and dissapear after resurfacing..because that means its flexing and its fairly weak...just what i would do.

you need to surface the flywheel to see how deep they go , I have rarely seen a flywheel without cracks in it , & new flywheels are not cheap but then neither are feet !!!
