aar rear spoiler
« on: December 01, 2008 - 12:44:42 PM »
some guy here in europe has a AAR rear spoiler for sale.  he claims it`s original with no dents or scratches. If so, what`s a decent price?
I won`t use it myself, but if his price is ok I might just pic it up.
thanks

I'm surprised no one has responded to this question so I'll give it a whirl.
If it was an original louver and good shape then $1,000 bucks ( US Dollars )  If he would take $600.00 then I think your doing good.
I could be low on that but when I see this stuff on ebay for $1,500 then it just depends how badly you want it and what your willing to pay for it.

I think he is talking about the decklid spoiler and not the rear window louvers. I would check First Place Auto Parts (www.fpap.com) and see what the price of a new one is and then probably add 30% assuming it is in excellent condition. FYI originals weren't metal so it shouldn't have any dents in it.

Aren't the re-pops $200 or slightly less?   :dunno:

I suppose you would also need the hardware to mount it.  I wouldn't go crazy over this.   :2cents:

Make sure it is an original one.  Here is a comparison picture of a remake (bolted on the car) and an original one (not bolted on).

his price is ok, but for me it will be tad pricey due to shipping.... or picking up.  thanks for the info guys  :2thumbs:  maybe a good deal for someone in europe who really wants it for the car.
