I recently bought a 73 Chally...nothing too special, 318 non-rallye, but I couldn't pass up the deal. I was thinking of starting a resto thread, but I won't be doing anything but the basics until I get some more cash saved up.
She's B5 blue inside & out, originally had a black vinyl top and side moldings. The good news is that the previous owner took them off and ground/filled (almost) all the holes & nubs. The car came with a nice rallye hood already on and lots of bonus parts. (TWO sets of 4-speed pedals, pistol grip with shifter & rods, SWEET 70-71 rallye dash). PLUS, a new full, right quarter, right outer wheelhouse and both trunk extensions already installed. Installed right, not some chop shop cob job.
Additionally, the car has about 74,000 miles and the title is from 1981! I have not seen an UN-messed with car like this in a looooooooooong time. Everything under the hood is original and unmolested (except the usual tune-up stuff). The dash pad is cracked, but it looks like nobody has had anything apart inside except the plastic panels and switch panel. No scratches or marks on the steering column. I'm putting them back as-is so I can drive it, will be doing up a nice blue rallye setup for later with my NOS pad.
Here are some pics.........more later, even more when I start some "real" work!
