72 cuda tail lamp hardware
« on: December 01, 2008 - 12:52:35 PM »
I'm trying to install the tail lamps on my 72. Unfortunately, I can't find the attaching hardware.

The car pretty much came to me in boxes, so I'm not even sure what I'm looking for.

I'm guessing there are some t-bolts and speed nuts that hold the lamps on. I found what I believe are the nuts, but no t-bolts.

A pic would be a great help.

Here's a picture of the studs in the tail panel.  The nuts were a cap type shape (no hole).  I don't have a pic handy, but could take one tomorrow if you need it.

My car has keyhole-shaped holes where you have studs. I assumed some sort of t-bolt dropped into the holes.

Yours look welded in. :dunno: :clueless:

Here's some better pictures.  The studs are not welded in, but fit through the hole.  The metal on the front helps hold them in place.  Also here some pictures of the nuts as well.  If you want to see the higher resolution pictures, just send me a PM.
